Hyundai company extended the first official photos of universal i40 — the car of a D-segment which in the European car market replaces old Sonata and will be presented in March on Motor Show in Geneva.

As informed into the official press release, this model is "the first car of South Korean mark in a D-segment which has been created specially for the European car market with scale of power-plants, the equipment and all car technologies answering to tastes of Europeans".

The design of a new Hyundai is executed in a new corporate style of mark with a trapezoid radiator enclosure and the extended headlights of head light coming far on front fenders. The volume of a luggage compartment at the universal makes 553 litres at the hoisted rear seats, and at combined the free space increases to 1,790 litres.

The novelty will be offered with wide scale of petrol and diesel motors, including the new 1,7-litre motor on "heavy fuel". More detailed information about a ruler of power-plants yet is not informed. Besides, Hyundai i40, predictably, receives two petrol motors — 1.6 and 2.0 (with a turbo-supercharging) capacity of 140 and 177HP accordingly.

In Europe the list of the standard equipment of model i40 will include system of the prevention of involuntary traverse of a continuous line of a marking, and also an audiosystem with possibility of connection of external devices through Bluetooth. Among options — xenon headlights and a glass roof.
