The US autoconcern Ford has decided to liquidate brand Mercury. Falling of sales of mark became the reason of such decision: since 2000 they have decreased on 74%.

July liquidation

The official statement about Mercury liquidation Ford Motor will make in July, 2010. The main problem of the company will be dealers of mark who should either be closed, or to join the basic network of Ford Motor.

I will remind, for last three years, Ford Motor has sold a lot of brands: Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin and Volvo. According to experts, such strategy has helped Ford to become unique automobile manufacturers in the USA.
