2016 Power Test: Range Rover Discovery Sport Pulls a 100 Tonne Train
In a late tow test, a Land Rover Discovery Sport was indicated towing a 100 ton train, which is roughly the same weight as that of a Boeing.

This Jaguar Land Rover packs an effective 177.5 bhp Ingenium motor in the engine, which gives a torque of 430 Nm. Add to that advances like Terrain Response, Tow Assist, Tow Hitch Assist, and All Terrain Progress Control and towing is no more an undertaking any longer.

The activity was taped 85 ft above River Rhine in Switzerland, on the Hemishofen Bridge, with an auto which is known particularly for its towing ability.

Look as this 2.5 ton machine pulls three train carriages, just about 50 times its own weight.
