The world premiere of the new B-Class (length/width/height: 4359/1786/1557 millimetres) will take place at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (13 to 25 September 2011). It will be making its way to European dealers in November 2011
The new model is lower than the outgoing B-Class, and should provide drivers with a sportier experience behind the wheel. It's 14'3" long, just over 5 feet high, and 5'10" wide, and Mercedes-Benz claims a drag coefficient of just 0.26, admirably low for a relatively short car.
The new Mercedes-Benz B Class gets a new direct injection turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine coming in two different flavors, one producing 122 horsepower and 147 ft-lbs. of torque or 156 horsepower and 184 ft-lbs. of torque. Two new 1.8-liter turbocharged diesel engine options will also be available with 107 horsepower / 184 ft. lbs. of torque and a version with 134 horsepower / 221 ft. lbs. of torque.
