In China the premiere of accessible five-seater compact sedan Chevrolet Sail has taken place. The car has been developed by joint venture of concern General Motors and company Shanghai Automotive Industry in cooperation with the Pan-Asiatic technical automobile centre (PATAC) specially for a car market of the Peoples Republic of China and other developing countries. On it it is informed in official press release Shanghai GM.

Compact sedan Chevrolet Sail

Motors Sail correspond to ecological standards "Euro-4" and are equipped by an inlet collector with changeable geometry. Almost all accessories of the Chinese sedan — about 95% — are delivered by the companies already working with concern GM.

Interior Chevrolet Sail

In the Peoples Republic of China sedan Chevrolet Sail will be offered with 1,2 and 1,4-l petrol engines power of 87 and 103HP accordingly which are aggregated with a five-step mechanical transmission. According to company Shanghai GM, the most powerful version of a novelty will be dispersed to 100 km/h for 11,9 seconds, and the average expense of fuel on 100 kilometres of a way will make about 5,9 litres. Novelty cost in China will make 56,800 yuans (about $8,400US).
